Bringing Storytelling Traditions to Light at Blue Rain Gallery

For more than three decades, Singletary has been at the forefront of contemporary Native American art, pioneering the integration of traditional Tlingit formline design with studio glass. His museum-quality sculptures have redefined the medium, earning places in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the British Museum, the Seattle Art Museum, and numerous other major institutions.

In The Good, the Bad and the Raven, Singletary and Stein explore themes of technology, identity, environmental change, and cultural resilience through a fusion of sculpture and original narrative. The exhibition affirms the enduring relevance of Indigenous storytelling while showcasing Singletary's extraordinary craftsmanship and innovative vision. 

Among the exhibition's highlights are Stone Man, a striking meditation on labor, identity, and artificial intelligence; Journey of Hearts, a sculptural exploration of Raven and Eagle's shared path toward understanding; and Speaking in Tongues, a powerful reflection on the loss and reclamation of language, voice, and cultural knowledge.
