For more than three decades, Singletary has been at the forefront of contemporary Native American art, pioneering the integration of traditional Tlingit formline design with studio glass. His museum-quality sculptures have redefined the medium, earning places in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the British Museum, the Seattle Art Museum, and numerous other major institutions.
"Over the course of more than twenty-five years of collaboration, Preston Singletary and I have helped shape and establish a Native art glass movement," says Leroy Garcia, Founder and Owner of Blue Rain Gallery. "Preston stands not only as a pioneering force in the field, but as a distinguished ambassador for studio glass within Native communities."
