Hong Kong - A Tibetan bronze featuring an exquisite robe adorned with both inset stones and incised patterns is the top lot at Bonhams Images of Devotion sale on Tuesday 3 October at Bonhams Hong Kong, Admiralty. Carrying an estimate of HK$15,000,000-25,000,000, this exceptionally rare sculpture is the only known of its kind.
London – Christie’s will offer objects and artworks from the personal collection of Claude Monet in Hong Kong on 26 November 2017. In addition to being the very first sale dedicated to Impressionism organised in Asia, the auction will be transmitted in real time in our Parisian auction room so that our European based clients may also attend the sale and participate. Titled Dear Monsieur Monet, the collection presents an intimate and family driven insight into one of art history’s most beloved artists.
New York – Christie's announces its fall lineup of October photographs sales, which includes a comprehensive selection of more than 300 photographs to be sold in New York. The complete works on offer include iconic property by many of the most well-known names of the 20th century, including Alfred Stieglitz, Constantin Brâncuși, Dorothea Lange, Edward Steichen, Edward Weston, Irving Penn, Man Ray, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Walker Evans and more.  
New York/Geneva/Paris – As announced at the end of July, Christie’s has been entrusted with the sale of masterworks from an important European private collection, Beyond Boundaries: Avant-Garde Masterworks from a European Collection which will be offered throughout the second half of 2017 in New York, Geneva and Paris. This ground-breaking collection was assembled by a couple with a keen eye for rare exceptional works of arts and design.
London – Francis Bacon’s Head with Raised Arm (1955, estimate: £7,000,000 – £10,000,000) will be unveiled for the first time in over half a century as part of Christie’s Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction, a highlight of London’s Frieze Week auctions. Last exhibited in 1962 at the Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna, Turin, the work was acquired by the present owners the following year, and has remained hidden from public view ever since.
New York – Christie’s sale of Important American Furniture, Silver, Maritime, Folk and Outsider Art will present more than 180 lots from the 17th through 21st centuries, representing a spectrum of diverse and dynamic artistry and craftsmanship. The sale features various important private collections including Property from the Estate of Richard J. Schwartz, the Collection of the Late Jack Warner, and Property from The Westervelt Company, among others.
San Francisco – The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco (FAMSF) are pleased to premiere Teotihuacan: City of Water, City of Fire, the first major U.S. exhibition on Teotihuacan in over twenty years. The ancient metropolis of Teotihuacan is one of the largest and most important archaeological sites in the world, and the most-visited archaeological site in Mexico.
Philadelphia - This fall, the Philadelphia Museum of Art will present Old Masters Now: Celebrating the Johnson Collection, a major exhibition focusing on one of the finest collections of European art ever to have been formed in the United States by a private collector. The exhibition marks the centenary of the remarkable bequest of John Graver Johnson—a distinguished corporate lawyer of his day and one of its most adventurous art collectors—to the city of Philadelphia in 1917.
London - A bronze cast of Sir Alfred Gilbert’s breakthrough work, Perseus Arming, is one of the leading lots in Bonhams Important Design Sale in London on Wednesday 25 October. It is estimated at £40,000-60,000. 
New York - Phillips will present Life is hard… Let’s go shopping, a selection of works from the collection of Masamichi Katayama. Founder of the renowned Japanese interior design firm Wonderwall, Katayama has amassed one of the most significant collections of contemporary art and design in Asia, featuring works by Adrian Ghenie, On Kawara, KAWS, Mark Grotjahn, Jean Prouvé, and Charlotte Periand, among others.
