Philadelphia - This fall, the Philadelphia Museum of Art will present Old Masters Now: Celebrating the Johnson Collection, a major exhibition focusing on one of the finest collections of European art ever to have been formed in the United States by a private collector. The exhibition marks the centenary of the remarkable bequest of John Graver Johnson—a distinguished corporate lawyer of his day and one of its most adventurous art collectors—to the city of Philadelphia in 1917.

New York - Phillips will present Life is hard… Let’s go shopping, a selection of works from the collection of Masamichi Katayama. The Yale University Art Gallery is pleased to present an installation of twenty-seven pieces of Texas silver lent by Houston businessman and philanthropist William J. Hill. The silver will be on view through December 10, 2017, in the museum’s gallery devoted to the arts of New France, New Spain, and Texas, on the first floor of Street Hall. Hill has been an enthusiastic collector of Texas-made objects and a generous donor of Texas-made furniture, ceramics, and other works of art to the Gallery, some of which are shown alongside the silver.

In 1888/9 in Arles in the South of France, Vincent van Gogh painted several versions of one of the most famous paintings ever made – his 'Sunflowers'.
Today five 'Sunflowers' paintings are located in museums across the globe and have never been united. Until now that is. On 14 August 2017, in a world first, all those 'Sunflowers' will come together in a ‘virtual exhibition’ bringing the paintings together in a way the artist could never have imagined.

Christie’s and Andreas Siegfried will present Tropicana, an exhibition pairing works from the multi-faceted practices of Anton Alvarez and Jonathan Trayte at 103 New Bond Street, timed to coincide with London Design Festival. A tropical landscape of sculptures and furniture, made specifically for the space, will run throughout the gallery, set amongst dense foliage.
