"Led by Jacques-Émile Blanche’s Henriette Chabot au Piano, the 19th Century European Art auction offers a strong selection of fresh to the market paintings, works on paper, and sculpture by leading artists who reflect the extraordinary diversity of this pivotal period of art history. Additional highlights include John Atkinson Grimshaw’s A Moonlit Lane, a selection of three works by William Adolphe Bouguereau from a royal collection, and Gustave Moreau’s Le triomphe de Bacchus.
