King Redd

About The Artist
G.J. Pierre, known as King Redd, is an Afro-Caribbean artist born in the mid-'80s on the island of St. Croix. Moving to Miami at the age of three, he grew up as the youngest of five, raised by a single mother who instilled in him traditional values and a love for comic books and video games, which fueled his artistic inspiration. Initially passionate about drawing superheroes and graffiti, Pierre transitioned from a 12-year career as a tattoo artist to visual art in 2017, with encouragement from Miami artist David Lebatard. Since then, he has showcased his work during Miami Art Week, created murals, and exhibited in various venues, rapidly establishing a promising career in the art world.
