Here is some supplemental information about the Offset Lithograph: Limited edition print designed and created for the tennis tournament held at Roland Garros French Open by Arroyo, hand-signed and numbered H.C. This poster went down in history: it depicts the back of a tennis playerÕs head, clearly inspired by Bjšrn Borg, whose famous headband and blonde hair are easily recognizable by all. Hors Commerce means 'out of trade' in English. HCs and APs are very similar except the former is only available directly from the artist. A HC is given as a gift to the artist for allowing the publisher to print their images. Of all the special prints, the HCs are the most valuable, because of their rarity.

Having fled to Paris at the end of the 1950s to escape FrancoÕs regime, Eduardo Arroyo first dreamt of becoming a journalist then a writer, but his desire to paint quickly eclipsed everything else. His early work was greatly influenced by Modigliani, but throughout his life his artwork was socially-engaged and infused with the love-hate relationship he maintained with his native country. He often painted political subjects, sometimes suffused with derision. His canvases, characterised by blocks of bright colour, bear the signs of his careful consideration of how image is represented.
