Known for its assemblage of cutting-edge contemporary artists and galleries from around the globe, the landmark fair has an uncanny way of finding the art world’s next major talents. Regardless of their growth, this remains the show’s main driving force for SCOPE Miami’s founder and president, Alexis Hubshman, who has been a consistent advocate for emerging creative voices.
Just two dozen rings encapsulate the history of the world as seen in the exhibition, “The Fashioned Hand: Historic Finger Rings.” These twenty-four remarkable and remarkably preserved rings are from the collection amassed by Les Enluminures, a unique firm dedicated to documenting medieval and Renaissance manuscripts, miniatures, and finger rings. The rings, spanning two millennia, will be on display at Frieze Masters, Stand A4, Regent’s Park London from October 4-7, 2018.
The seventh annual Frieze New York Art Fair, which ran May 4-6, featured more than 190 galleries, curated awards and special sections, a robust talks schedule, and vibrant performance art. The fair, just one in Frieze’s multinational series that includes both a masters and contemporary edition in London and a new iteration in Los Angeles, was housed in a redesigned, labyrinthian temporary structure that stretched across New York City’s Randall’s Island Park.

Known for their signature blend of humor, hard facts and bold graphics, the Guerrilla Girls have been fighting for gender and racial equality in the art world since 1985.
Armory Arts Week filled Manhattan with art fairs and their patrons over the weekend. Centered around the Armory Show with an additional eight satellite fairs, there is truly something for everyone in every part of Manhattan. In addition to parallel fairs Art on Paper, Collective Design, Independent, Moving Image Art Fair, NADA, Scope, Spring/Break Art Show and Volta NY, museums and galleries held special events and openings. Works of art from masters of Modernism to emerging artists had offerings in every price range, bringing a full roster to Manhattan.
The 30th annual London Art Fair, opening this weekend, promises to be an unforgettable experience. It’s the most international LAF yet, with galleries from across five continents, and 131 exhibitors. Presenting leading British and international galleries alongside curated spaces Art Projects and Photo50, the LAF showcases renowned 20th and 21st Century artists.

So, mark your calendars for the Outsider Art Fair (OAF) which returns to New York City for the 26th year in a row from January 19th through the 21st. A world class art fair, the second annual Palm Beach Modern+Contemporary Art Fair gathers over fifty international galleries offering exceptional contemporary and Post-War artwork. This five day fair opens Thursday, January 11th, with a VIP Preview benefiting The Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society​, The Joe Namath Neurological Research Center and the Ann Norton Sculpture Garden​.
