About this work:
"The Far Away Princess" captures a moment of quiet majesty, where the grace of an elegant horse meets the timeless beauty of historical architecture. The subject, a striking Marwari mare, stands poised on a sunlit path, its delicate white coat contrasted by rich chestnut markings. Behind it rises an ornate, weathered temple, evoking the grandeur of a forgotten era, its arches and domes whispering stories of the past. The soft, golden tones and gentle play of light lend the image an ethereal quality, blending nature and history into a dreamlike tableau. This piece speaks of solitude, nobility, and the delicate balance between strength and vulnerability, making it a captivating addition for collectors of fine equine art.

About the Artist:
Anna Archinger (b. 1994, Neuburg an der Donau) is a German artist based in Dronningmølle, Denmark. Since 2022, she has worked professionally as a photographer, with a practice centered on equine imagery. Her fascination with horses goes beyond mere passion—she lives at Enggaarden, a farm and educational center dedicated to teaching the “Academic Art of Riding.” This close relationship with horses recalls the historical fascination of seminal artists with equine studies.

Over the past three years, Anna has developed a striking body of equine photography. Her work received an Honorable Mention in the Professional category from the International Photo Awards USA (2023) and was shortlisted in a private competition held by the Motif Collective Photography Gallery (2023). In 2024, her work will be presented in several international venues, including the Glasgow Gallery of Photography (United Kingdom), the Black and White Photography Festival (Athens), and the Chateau Gallery (Louisville).

"A traveling equestrian photographer who lives in a private riding education center that teaches the "Academic Art of Riding" in Dronningmølle, Denmark. For me, the farm is my open-air studio and the most fascinating workplace a photographer could dream of. I’m an artist who lives in the environment of my own inspiration — horses! I live surrounded by my ‘muse’ and power animals, as I love to call them."
