About the Artist

Kathy Hodge
Kathy Hodge was born in Providence and began to paint in oils as a teenager. She studied painting at the Rhode Island School of Design and completed her BFA at the Swain School of Design in New Bedford, MA.

She continues to pursue her interest in the natural landscape, exploring the dwindling wild places of Rhode Island, as well as our shared and irreplaceable landscapes in her role as Artist in Residence in fifteen National Parks and Forests — from Denali in Alaska to Zion in Utah.

She has won many exhibition awards and was the recipient the Rhode Island State Council of the Arts Painting Fellowship. Hodge's work is featured in National Park collections, corporate spaces, and private collections across the country.
